SIR - I rarely write, but I feel I must comment. I came to this city from the Midlands in the early 1960s.
I seem to recall the slogan Bradford's Bouncing Back' was bandied about 20 years ago.
I'm still waiting; all I see is deprivation, litter and filth, the exodus of commerce, shops and business when it was supposedly bouncing back'.
There are no longer the key shops which once adorned this magnificent city and I fail to see any evidence of them returning, nor, I suspect, do they want to.
As far as this next plan, this may be a wider view but I'm still waiting for the last (never mind) and I won't mention the Forster Square Development - oops I did!
Any explosion in the population is not due to the expansion of any of the above. It has another cause.
Leeds went ahead years ago and left Bradford standing - no sorry falling.
