SIR - Bingley certainly does need more colour.

Many shops have canopies which have seen better days! Bright new ones would add a splash of colour to the main street and they would not get as dirty now the volume of traffic has decreased.

Could some sort of display not be put in the empty shop windows as a temporary measure?

How about flowers in summer and winter in the paved area around the Arts Centre, not to mention the Shopping Centre and the station?

And yes, please let the gentleman from the restaurant paint his railings and any others he may like to do.
