SIR - Having just returned home after hearing what I hoped was a compliment on my outfit from two youngsters ("That's so retro") may I suggest that those who wish to impress, wear Made in Taiwan cords' (1978, £7.99, Shipley Market) when clubbing?
At present even your columnists seem fixed on talking about veils, crosses, short skirts etc.
For years I've seen (what I'm told) a pretend monk on Otley Road with a dirty habit (Ken Dodd 1967) who doesn't do any harm.
Come to think of it, I've not heard Ruth (Opus Dei) Kelly having a go at nuns over their lack of dress sense.
Let's take a Thousand Island approach to dressing and at enjoy variety at least up to 57!
Sid Brown, Glenhurst Road, Shipley
