Secret Cinema has invited fans to enjoy past events from the comfort their home to sign up to their virtual film club.
The immersive film club - named Secret Sofa - which hosts secrets screenings of popular films in London, has just launched the new at-home screening service.
Posting on their Facebook page, the Secret Cinema team said, "Time to bring a bit of magic to this lockdown! Get ready for virtually the best film club in the world-Secret Sofa presented by Häagen-Dazs.
"Over the next eight weeks, we will bring you Secret Worlds you may have loved, may have missed or which might not have happened yet, directly to your home.
"We're talking everything from additional storylines to character and costume suggestions to era-defining music and activities to food and drink ideas(and ice cream obviously).
"At 7.30pm (BST) on Friday, thousands of us hit play at the same time to watch some of the greatest films together."
What to expect
Secret Cinema is known for its outlandish other worlds, from 1950s Hill Valley (which set the scene for a screening of Back to the Future), to the Montmartre Quarter of Paris for a showing of Moulin Rouge - each event is full of interactive experiences from dressing up to actors and dancers.
While these events can no longer happen during lockdown, film fans are encouraged to dress up at home for the screenings and enjoy themed food and drinks to help replicate the immersive experience.
How to join in
Film fans need to register to get access to the screenings, by following this link and signing up to the Secret Cinema newsletters.
The Secret Sofa film will be announced at the start of each week via email. Sometimes the team will tell you the title up front, other times they'll keep you guessing.
In the email, you will find all the tools needed to create your own version of the themed universe. From character and costume suggestions, to era-defining music, activities and food and drink ideas - how far you go is up to you.
The film will start at 7.30pm on each Friday, followed by a secret virtual after party.
The team added: "We have a range of events and explorations for you and your friends to hang out in. Friday night is film night, but let's just say other surprises might come on other nights of the week.
"Forward your joining email to your mates and make sure they are signed up too so they can join in from their sofas."
