BRADFORD Council has announced a series of temporary road closures due to highways and utility works across the district.
These take place over the coming weeks. A selection of them are are as follows:
Work on gas supply pipes powill mean the temporary closure of Draycott Walk, Holme Wood, from its junction with Kesteven Road to its junction with Wansford Close.
The order came into effect at 8am today and will remain in force until 6pm on Friday July 9.
There are no alternative routes for traffic affected by this proposed closure and no pedestrian access will be available.
Work on gas pipes will also lead to the temporary closure of a length of Merton Road from its junction with Laisteridge Lane for approximately 20 metres in a north easterly direction. The order came into effect at 8am today and remains in place until 6pm on Friday July 2.
Pedestrian access along the route will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for traffic affected will be via Merton Road (the unaffected section), Pemberton Drive, Easby Road, Laisteridge Lane and vice versa.
Highways work to be carried out will necessitate temporary closures along the lengths of Allerton Lane, School Green and Old Road as follows:
*School Green - from its junction with Allerton Lane to its junction with Thornton Road.
*Allerton Lane - from its junction with School Green to its junction with Bracewell Avenue.
*Old Road - from its junction with Thornton Road to its junction with School Avenue.
The order came into force at 8am today and remains until 6pm on Friday October 8 2021. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for traffic affected by the order will be via Thornton Road (the unaffected section), Rhodesway, Allerton Road, Cote Lane, Allerton Lane (the unaffected section) and vice versa.
Electrical work on or near Felcourt Drive, Holme Wood, has resulted in the temporary closure to vehicles of Felcourt Drive from its junction with Kesteven Road to its junction with Landscove Avenue.
This closure, which came into force on Tuesday June 15, is in place until 6pm on Friday July 23.
Alternative routes for traffic affected by the order will be available via Kesteven Road, Landscove Avenue and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Work on water pipes will mean the temporary closure of a length of Derry Hill, Menston, from a point outside number 51 Derry Hill to a point outside number 61 Derry Hill.
This traffic order applies from 8am today to 6pm on Friday June 25.
Alternative routes for traffic affected by the order will be via Derry Hill (the unaffected section), Main Street, Bingley Road, Hillings Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained along the route at all times during the work.
