For the first time ever, Race Across The World fans can see a celebrity version of the show come to their screens and now the release date has been announced.
The original release date of Celebrity Race Across The World was postponed following the powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Morocco on Friday, September 8 and claimed the lives of more than 2,000 people.
The first episode, which takes place in Morocco, was meant to air on BBC One on Wednesday, September 13.
In a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, the programme explained: “The BBC has announced that in light of the earthquake in Morocco, the first episode of Celebrity Race Across the World will be postponed.”

It also said: “We of course started off our journey in Marrakesh – it’s a beautiful city and we were so warmly welcomed by everyone during filming. Our hearts go out to the people of the country, and our thoughts are with them.”
When will Celebrity Race Across The World be released?
If you’re a fan of the original show, you might be wondering exactly when the celebrity version will air.
On Thursday, September 14, the show’s social media accounts revealed that the release date had been moved to Wednesday, September 20.
Fans of the show can tune into BBC One and BBC iPlayer to watch from 9pm.

Which celebrities are taking part in Celebrity Race Across The World?
Instead of members of the public taking part, four celebrities will be rising to the challenge - McFly star Harry Judd, ITV weather presenter Alex Beresford, All Saints singer Mel Blatt and racing driver Billy Monger.
The three celebrities will each be joined by a family member as they race at ground level from Marrakech in Morocco to Tromso in Norway.

Beresford will be joined by his father Noel while Blatt will be joined by her mother Helene.
Judd will take on the challenge beside his mother Emma and Monger will race with his sister Bonny.
