A DRUG dealer who tried to "impersonate a famous MMA fighter" and told police he was called "Connor" has been jailed.

Mark Nye, 34, of Yeoman Drive in Stanwell, Surrey, has been sentenced to two years and nine months behind bars.

He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Nye was stopped by Surrey Police officers in Stanwell on February 11 and was arrested after trying to discard class A drugs and two mobile phones he had on him.

The 34-year-old gave officers false details when he was pulled over.

He told them he was called "Connor" and also had several hundred business cards, which he used to front his drug dealing, with the name "McGregor Enterprise" written on the front.

On the back it read: "Best drops in Surrey".

Officers analysed Nye’s phones and found hundreds of messages in relation to his drug dealing activity.

They also searched the address Nye was staying at and found a large amount of boric acid and a large cleaver by his bed.

Investigating Officer PC Mcgill said: “A search of the address Mark was staying at revealed a large amount of boric acid, a cutting agent which is used by dealers to cut drugs and can have serious health implications for users themselves.

“Officers also found a large cleaver readily accessible by his bed.

“Thanks to the work of our proactive drugs teams, we have taken yet another dealer off our streets and prevented Mark from causing further harm to the victims of his crimes.”

Mark was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on April 9, with Surrey Police sharing the news on its Facebook page yesterday.
