Residents concerned about speeding in their village are getting the chance to put the brakes on drivers.
A ‘Community Speed-watch’ starts on Monday in Tong, Bradford, to run alongside a series of police contact points at the Tong Garden Centre.
Using a speed gun, local people will take part in identifying motorists who are travelling too fast.
PC Craig Reagan, of the Tong and Wyke NPT, who helped organise the event, said: “The use of the speed gun will remind people to consider their driving behaviour, particularly at this time of year when the roads are busy and pedestrians can be preoccupied.”
