COUNCILLOR Peter Corkindale’s last Keighley mayoral visit before handing over the chains of office was to the town’s bus museum.
He and mayoress Councillor Clare Abberton viewed the restoration work being carried out on Keighley Trolleybus No 5, which was built in 1924.
They are pictured with the restoration team, David Hudson and Andy Kissack.
A number of firms have contributed materials for the project, which has included rebuilding the driver’s cab, rear platform and staircase. It is hoped the restored trolleybus will be ready for display at next year’s Keighley transport festival.
