SIR - Reading Emma Clayton's column about her dad and his mates playing doms in his local pub brought back memories.
Back in the 60s,70s, 80s and 90s in the pubs and clubs in White Abbey we played all year round. We played darts and doms, which in later years evolved to pool and doms.
For a couple of summers in the 70s we played football on the old Infirmary fields on Sunday mornings, pub v pub eight a-side for half a crown a man.Those days are long gone now, but what memories.
