SIR - My question to Alex Ross-Shaw is where will the bus stops in the city centre of Bradford be located once the huge roadworks are completed?

And who is paying for the redesign of the city centre? I hope that the hard-pressed council tax payers of Bradford aren't paying for the roadworks in the city centre during a cost of living crisis and big hole in the UK public finances.

Bus passengers of Bradford are very angry with the huge disruption of bus services especially when the Interchange has been closed since January. As a bus passenger myself, aged 65 with mobility issues, I have found the roadworks and major disruption to the city centre caused by Bradford Council very difficult and unnecessary.

When my bus, the 636 from Clayton, arrives at the city centre I have to walk a quarter mile to Broadway which is very difficult, and past major roadworks. Before Bradford Council decided to turn the city centre into a giant roadworks the 636 simply stopped outside the tourist office and it was a short walk to the Broadway. Now, after the decision of the council to re-arrange the entire city centre it's a walk of a quarter mile. Very difficult, unnecessary and bizarre.

I sincerely hope that the bus passengers and council tax payers are considered and that the new bus stops are located just outside the Broadway, taking into account senior citizens with mobility issues such as myself.
