A number of temporary road closures have been announced by Bradford Council to facilitate utility works.

Telecommunication works on or near Park Lane, Queensbury, will mean Park Lane will be closed from outside number 24 to outside Park House.

This will come into effect at 9:30am on Friday November 8 and remain in force until 3.30pm on November 8

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Park Lane (the unaffected section), Scarlet Heights, Sand Beds, Brighouse Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Water works on or near Farnham Road will mean the closure for one day of Farnham Road at its junction with Great Horton Road.

The order will come into effect at 7pm on Wednesday November 13 and remain until 11.59pm that same day.

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Farnham Road (the unaffected section), Spencer Road, Beckside Road, Great Horton Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will not be affected.

Electrical works on or near Silson Lane, Baildon will mean the closure of Silson Lane from a point outside The Mews to a point outside Roundwood Croft.

The proposed order will come into effect at 9am on Tuesday November 12 and will remain until 6pm on Friday November 15.

No alternative routes for traffic affected by the proposed order will be available. Pedestrian access will not be affected.

Gas works on or near Back Leamington Street, Bradford, will mean the closure of Back Leamington Street from a point outside the rear of 2 Leamington Street to a point outside the rear of 12 Leamington Street.

The closure will come into effect at 9am hours on Tuesday November 12 and remain until 6pm hours on Friday November 15

Alternative routes for vehicles will be via Back Leamington Street (the unaffected section), Athol Road, Selborne Terrace, St Mary’s Road, Oak Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Also submitted to Bradford Council is an application for a new Premises Licence at S17 Cross Lane Market, 14 Cross Lane, Bradford BD7 3JT.

Surkew Mohammed has applied to supply of alcohol off the premises from Monday to Sunday between 8am and 11pm.
