TWO roads will be partially closed until early December while work on the gas main is carried out.
Works being carried out on or near Holme Top Lane and Park Lane, Bradford have led to the closure of the following:
1. Holme Top Lane from its junction with Little Horton Lane to its junction with Park Lane.
2. Park Lane from its junction with Newell Street to a point outside number 66 Park Lane.
The order came into force on September 30 and will remain until 6pm on Friday December 6. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Alternative routes for traffic will be via Park Lane (the unaffected section), Little Horton Lane and vice versa.
Construction works on or near Thornton Road, Denholme, has necessitated the closure of Thornton Road from its junction with Halifax Road to its junction with Brighouse Road.
The order will remain in force until 6pm hours on Friday November 15. Pedestrian access will not be affected.
Alternative routes for traffic affected by the order will be available via A629 Halifax Road, A629 Smithy Hill, right onto Brighouse Road and vice versa.
Alternative routes for HGVs will be via the A644 Brighouse and Denholme Road, A644 Albert Road right onto A647 High Street, A647 West End, A647 Ford Hill, A647 Halifax Road, A647 Priestley Hill (into Calderdale) A647 Halifax Road, A647 Queensbury Road, A647 Boothtown Road, A647 Haley Hill right onto A58 Burdock Way, Orange Street Roundabout, right onto A629 Ovenden Road, A629 Keighley Road and A629 Causeway Foot and vice versa.
Waterworks on or near Back Carlisle Terrace, Bradford, have led to the closure of Back Carlisle Terrace from the rear of number 7 to the rear of number 25.
The order will come into effect at 8am on Thursday October 10 and remain in force until 6pm that day.
Pedestrian access will be maintained. No alternative routes for traffic will be available.
Also among the current public notices in Bradford this week is an application for a Goods Vehicle Operator's Licence.
Sean Cave, trading as SDC Transport Ltd of 33 Grayshon Drive, Bradford, BD6 1QF, is applying for a licence to use 5 Oxford Place, Bradford BD3 0EF as an operating centre for three goods vehicles and no trailers.
Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centre, who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should write to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE, stating their reasons by Friday October 11. They must send a copy of their representations to the applicant. A guide to making representations is available from the Traffic Commissioner's Office.
