SIR - I saw the front page article by Brad Deas in the T&A on August 19 about people that commit knife crime and was shocked.
The Ben Kinsella Trust says rehabilitation is more important than locking them up. Can anyone please explain to me, why should someone who goes out and stabs someone with a knife be rehabilitated? Surely that's for victim.
And the offenders already know it's wrong! They need to take responsibility.
And why are there suspended sentences for people who stab and murder people?
If they're locked up, they can't stab anyone. Keep them locked up longer and it will deter such disgraceful behaviour.
