SIR - I went to Ilkley today on the train from Forster Square.
I went purposely for food shopping as there is an M&S food outlet there and also a very good butchers shop.
The train was a brilliant service, on time and a pleasant journey too.
With heavy shopping, and no car, I was reliant on the bus to get home afterwards. Therein lies the difficulty. On Bolton Road there is a temporary bus stop, a mile long queue and no bus for ages.
Two young women with pushchairs couldn't get on when the bus eventually came as it was already full in that area.
Surely now the bus station needs priority over everything going on in Bradford. Also a regular bus service.
Tracy Brabin has all these grand ideas about a tram service. Get real! Us bus users need a proper reliable bus service and proper bus stops. These basics are really needed.
Everything seems temporary. Everyone is really tired of pie in the sky ideas. It's all promised sometime in the future - 2028!
