SIR - The City of Bradford has been in a state of shambles for some years now and little is ever properly resolved.

The Council's executive member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport Alex Ross-Shaw has presided over all this for some years, together with his leader Susan Hinchcliffe, and how either or both are still in position sums up the poor quality of the whole Labour group.

One would like to think that the Council would concentrate all their efforts on trying to make better all the many things that have gone wrong, been delayed, not repaired, etc, etc.

But no, a ridiculous amount of time was spent at the last Council meeting arguing about the situation in Gaza, something over which they have no control at all.

This was utterly pathetic and simply confirms what third rate politicians we have running our once great city.

I say "running". Really nothing could be further from the truth.
