SIR - I am sure that most people, both residents and visitors to the town, were delighted when the Public Space Protection Order was implemented around the Ilkley Riverside area in May 2021, as evidenced by the 82per cent of supportive respondents to a public consultation at that time.
It was therefore concerning to read (T&A, June 6) that Bradford Council has decided to let the Order lapse.
What was also disgraceful was that this was done by the Council with no apparent consultation with the ward councillors.
Once again Bradford Council considers it knows best and ploughs on regardless with yet another questionable decision.
So, well done Bradford Council, confirming yet again what a shambolic organisation it really is.
