A BROTHER has paid a heartfelt tribute to a young man who tragically died.
22-year-old Dale Parkinson, of Silsden, took his own life on February 11.
It comes less than three years since the family lost another brother to cancer.
Regan Parkinson, one of five children, described Dale as the "best brother" anybody could have.
"He was amazing, he did absolutely everything for us," said Regan.
"He was like Marmite, you either loved him or hated him.
"He was the best brother ever. He always had so much energy.
"There was never a day when he did not have the energy to feel happy."
Regan's older brother Callum also sadly passed away at the young age of 22.
He added: "It has just taken a lot of people by surprise.
"When my older brother died we all came together as a family then everyone went their own way.
"Now, we have all been brought together by another death.
"It is horrible. Everything has just gone so wrong.
"No family in this entire world could have been prepared for what we have been through."
A gofundme page has been set up to pay for Dale's funeral costs.
At the time of writing, it has already raised £1,810 of its £4,000 target.
On the page, Regan said: "I don't even know where to begin.
"My mother and father had lost another son, my brother, also at the age of only 22, to cancer less than three years ago.
"The pain, numbness and heartache we are all going through right now, no parents or siblings should have to experience.
"I want to take my parents and siblings' pain away but I understand that's something I can't physically do all I can do is try to help them financially and this is the reason for me reaching out to my family, friends and the go fund me community; in particular #andymansclub #ITSOKAYTOTALK. If only he had reached out!"
He added: "You will be forever missed Daley P, my brother, my best friend, we will all love you now always and forever mate rest in eternal peace.
"Anyone who knew Dale knew he meant well by everyone and always went above and beyond for us all.
"How jovial he could be, we all absolutely love the bones of him. He is loved and always will be by so many people.
"Sometimes the saddest people hide behind a perfect smile."
