SUE I’Anson has worked in education in Bradford for four decades, and has never missed a single day of work in the past 15 years.
In her current role at Peel Park Primary, she leads the breakfast club and after-school club, meaning she gets to school for 7.15am and rarely leaves before 6pm.
She also leads the Nurture Group at the school, which she has run for more than five years, and is passionate about being an advocate for the school’s most vulnerable children
She is the cover supervisor, often being called on at the last minute to cover any teacher absence, and is also the school librarian.
She has also sat as a staff governor for the past 15 years.
Headteacher Lloyd Mason-Edwards said: “Sue is 69 years old and is still going strong.
“She has worked here since God was a lad, and is really a part of the community.
“She is approaching a big birthday, I won’t say which, and is still carrying on. The school wouldn’t be the same without her.
“Sue has never had a day off sick in the last 15 years and is a force to be reckoned with.”
Mrs I’Anson said one of the current teachers was also a pupil at the school, and it has been “nice to see them develop from being four or five-years old to now.”
