A MAN has been arrested after police discovered a large cannabis farm with nearly 400 plants on Tong Street in Bradford.
Officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team attended an address on Tong Street, Bradford, on Saturday and located a large cannabis farm consisting of 387 plants.
A 42-year-old male was arrested from the address on suspicion of producing cannabis and abstracting electricity.
The electricity was found to be dangerously bypassed putting neighbouring properties at risk. This was made safe by Northern Powergrid.
The male was interviewed and after consultation with CPS was charged with production of cannabis and abstracting electricity.
Bail was refused and he was remanded to appear before Bradford Magistrates Court, yesterday morning (Monday).
A spokesperson for the Bradford South NPT said: "Thanks again to the community for assisting us in taking drugs off the streets, and preventing electrical fires which are seen time and time again with cannabis farms due to the dangerously bypassed electricity meters."
