Dig deep for a special unit
The people of Bradford are being asked to join the fight to save the world renowned Bradford Burns Unit. The vital research facility is again facing closure unless you can answer the £100,000 call. The Telegraph & Argus and Bradford City FC have launched an appeal to raise £100,000 for the city’s burns research unit. It was set up at Bradford University 25 years ago following the 1985 fire disaster at Valley Parade which killed 56 people and injured more than 190. The Burns Unit Appeal follows the T&A’s successful 1995 appeal which raised £105,000 – more than double the original £50,000 target – and kept the unit going for another three years.
