An ambitious Silsden graduate is looking to hit the big time after securing funding from the Prince's Trust to help set up her own editing business.
Dawn Feather, 22, successfully applied for a £1,000 grant and a £1,700 loan from the charity after setting her sights on making it in the film industry.
The Film and Media Production graduate said: "I graduated last November and, since leaving university, I have been trying to get work in the industry.
"I got a job interview at ITV but it didn't work out. I had quite a few interviews - in an ideal world, I would work for Pinewood on something like Harry Potter."
The crunch came when the former Water Street and Aireville School pupil found herself working in a supermarket.
That was when she decided to take hold of her own destiny by setting up her own editing suite at her Foster Avenue home.
She applied to the Prince's Trust and met with a business manager. She then presented her proposal to a panel in Bradford.
She said: "The panel was a bit like Dragon's Den but not as pressured."
Now she is waiting for her new equipment to arrive and she is working on some voluntary projects to find her feet, including working with Hollyoaks story writer Richard Shaw on a film and feature.
