Three former RAC mechanics have launched a new garage business in Yeadon and aim to use their combined 85 years of experience to provide a value-for-money service.
Moorfield Garage, on Moorfield industrial estate, in Yeadon, has been formed by directors Richard Hunt, Paul Senior and Kevin Campbell.
The trio have been backed with a £60,000 Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) loan from NatWest bank.
The new venture will offer MOTs, services and repairs. The garage is a part of the Bosch Car Service network.
Mr Hunt said: “We are all big car enthusiasts and have a wealth of knowledge to bring to this business.
“We’re over the moon that we’ve been able to set-up independently and are certain we can provide an unrivalled service to our customers.
“I love working with cars in my own time and it’s great to be doing something I’m passionate about on a day to day basis. We’re keen to grow the business and hope to be in a position to create more jobs in future.”
Paul Wheelwright, relationship manager for NatWest, said: “It’s always a pleasure for me to help a fledgling company get under way. We’re helping around 2,000 start-ups every week in the UK and it’s always good to see that figure rise.
“Richard, Paul and Kevin have a vast amount of experience in the industry and you can see their ambition in this new venture.”
