Chocolate firm Whitakers has produced a redesigned pack of Neopolitan squares featuring images from the latest Calendar Girls WI calendar to raise funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Skipton-based Whitakers Chocolates has already raised £70,000 for the charity through the sale of 4.2 million chocolates in a previous Calendar Girls range of chocolates, first launched in 2007.
Since the original calendar in 1999, the Calendar Girls have raised more than £2 million.
Managing director William Whitaker said the firm was aiming to raise £10,000 for Leukaemia research. Next month, Mr Whitaker will take part in Sir Ian Botham’s Forget-me-not walk, and hopes to generate another £30,000 in sponsorship.
