The Ilkley Brewery Company has scooped a hat-trick of awards for its ales.
Following its gold medal success at the Society of Independent Brewers northern region competition, its Mary Jane ale won a bronze in the National Beer Competition. Mary Jane was one of only 27 winners from 1,400 entries after winning seven regional heats .
The national award followed Mary Jane being awarded the best beer title at the Ilkley Beer Festival last month.
The brewery’s Ilkley Black dark mild was also judged best in its class at the Bradford Beer Festival.
Stewart Ross , who owns the brewery with Chris Ives, said: “We are very proud of our beers and delighted to win these awards. We’re grateful to the many people who have supported us since we started brewing in May last year. We’ve come a long way in a short time”
