Skipton Auction Mart’s annual Christmas prime livestock shows and sales held for the first time on a Sunday attracted more than 1,000 visitors.
Trade was good with high prices achieved for the individual cattle and lamb champions.
Ross Greenwood, who runs Greenwood’s Farm Shop in Carleton, bought the female and supreme beef champion as well champion Mule lambs.
Mr Greenwood launched his West Road farm shop in October last year. The prize-winning meat will be on sale from Saturday.
Mr Greenwood said: “We produce virtually everything ourselves.”
Several local butchers bought Christmas stock, including John Kearns Butchers, of Shipley, Richard Binns, of Saltaire, John Summers, of Clayton and Mark Spauls, of Burley-in-Wharfedale and Cottingley.
