Manufacturers M Halliday & Sons has relocated to new premises in Keighley to cope with its expansion.

The 27-year-old firm, which produces windows, doors and other household furnishings, moved to the Universal Mills complex on Mitchell Street, Keighley from its former base in Crossflats.

The firm has also set up a window manufacturing arm for the business, run in partnership with Keighley-based Kelly Development.

This wing has been involved in a £250,000 investment in new plant, equipment and stock following an agreement sealed with German timber company Holz Schiller, of Regen.

The windows are crafted from engineered timber and the first non-upvc, totally maintenance free windows available in the UK.

The windows are also very environmentally friendly, with all timber sourced from managed forests across Europe and with every tree felled being replaced by five others.

Meanwhile the firm has appointed Julie Ellis as sales and marketing director.
