BUSINESS software specialist Cloud2 has won its biggest contract to date with Public Health England.
The Bradford-based firm, which specialises in designing and providing information management systems for health service professionals, is providing software to support quality assurance audits across the Public Health England's National Screening Programmes for various conditions and treatments.
The system will improve logistics for 300 auditors making checks to improve the efficiency of the screening audit team, provide better management information and clearer oversight.
Cloud2's system will help reduce paperwork and enable a greater a degree of mobile working.
The company, based in the Wool Exchange building, clinched the deal after Public Health England recognised the need for a new system when its auditors across the UK were struggling to share information, collaborate and communicate efficiently with each other .
They needed a system that tackled these problems and also improved their processes and provided better access to information in their dealings with thousands of external stakeholders, subject experts, observers and health service staff.
Cloud2 was brought in after a Public Health England review uncovered the need for one centralised system which would allow for better document management, improved workflows for business processes and centralised data storage .
The scale of the project will help PHE better schedule and manage audit visits, enable better collaboration and save time and cost. This would also mean that PHE will be able to make better decisions with management information that was not previously available to them.
It needed a quick and user-friendly solution using Microsoft technologies provided by Cloud2 which said the contract was 'a major commercial win ' for the business which would also bring new technological advancements to its systems.
Simon Hudson, Cloud2 director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Public Health England on such a significant and pertinent project. This demonstrates the value Cloud2 adds to the Microsoft technologies available and our agile approach. It furthermore enables mobile and geographically independent collaboration which will help Public Health England achieve its joined up strategy”.
Earlier this year Cloud2 clinched its first international customer in a deal with Tata Steel. to supply its flagship Hadron 8020 intranet system to Tata Steel’s UK and mainland European operations following a review of internal communications by the steel giant.
The system is multi-lingual, responsive and cost effective, allowing Tata Steel’s 25,000 workforce to work better together.
