A KEIGHLEY optician has his sights set on a coveted award.
Dan Dixon, who runs Boots Opticians in the Airedale Shopping Centre, is in line for an industry ‘Oscar’.
He has beaten 250 rivals to reach the finals of the Opticians Awards, in the multiple practice of the year category.
Winners will be revealed at a glittering ceremony in Birmingham on Saturday.
“I’m really thrilled to be shortlisted,” said Mr Dixon, 38, a Keighley Town Centre Association member and chairman of the Bradford Local Optical Committee.
“It’s great for the team and is recognition of the good job it is doing.
“Not everyone will be able to go to the final, but there will be quite a group of us!”
Airedale Shopping Centre manager Steve Seymour paid tribute.
“This is a real recognition of the hard work and dedication Dan has put into building the business and delivering excellent customer service,” he said.
“I hope he is successful on the night.”
