STEVE Harris has been appointed Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking regional managing director of mid markets banking in the North of England, leading an 80-strong team .serving businesses with a turnover of between £25 million and £750 million.
He has more than 25 years’ banking experience and was previously area director of the bank’s mid markets division in North, East and South Yorkshire. He joined Lloyds Bank three years ago from RBS, where he held several senior management roles in the corporate banking franchise.
Since 2013, Steve has been a board member of the Local Enterprise Partnership for the Leeds City Region. He is also sits on the organisation’s investment panel, overseeing requests for LEP finance.
Steve Harris said: “Having worked with Mid Market businesses in the North for the majority of my career, I have seen at first hand the role they play in generating economic prosperity at both a local and national level.
“These businesses have been at the forefront of the economic recovery and as part of our commitment to help Britain prosper we want to help and support these businesses achieve their growth ambitions through the cycle. From providing access to finance to advising on risk and cash management strategies, we have the ambition, people and resources in place across the North to do just that.”
