STUDY Links International has been accredited as a Living Wage employer.
The Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Study Links, based in Carr Lane, Bradford, regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors and suppliers, receive a minimum hourly wage of £7.85 – higher than the national minimum wage of £6.50.
The Living Wage is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the ‘Minimum Income Standard’ for the UK.
Study Links is a guardianship and placement organisation. They act as guardians for international students studying in the UK, arranging accommodation with caring English homestay families.
Employers choose to pay the Living Wage on a voluntary basis.
Ailie Fan, Study Links director, said: “We have chosen to support the Living Wage initiative because we’re a progressive company with a commitment to our employees and their future.
“We look forward to a close partnership with the Living Wage Foundation and hope to help this initiative grow.”
