IMPROVING economic conditions and increased interest from investors in the Bradford area has led a leading property agency to open a new city office.

Independent chartered surveyors, Walker Singleton has added an office at the Bradford Business Park, Canal Road, to existing offices in Halifax and Huddersfield.

The new base will strengthen the company’s offering throughout West Yorkshire with services including commercial property agency and valuations, property management, property receivership and business and asset valuations and disposals.

The office is headed by commercial property partner Paul Diakiw, asset partner Allan Chapman and commercial property associate Jonathan O’Connor.

Paul Diakiw said: “Walker Singleton have a long established presence and client base in Bradford and the establishment of a dedicated office in the city centre will only help to build on this offering for clients both old and new.”

He has been with Walker Singleton for 23 years and has a specialism in non-mainstream properties, and property receivership.

Allan Chapman has been there 25 years, advising on valuation and disposal of business assets, plant and machinery. Jonathan O’Connor joined in 2012 after working for two Bradford surveyors and is involved with commercial property.

Relocation of a telecommunications business means that an Ilkley business park is now fully occupied. The Talk Straight Group has taken three units totalling 6,100 sq ft at the Backstone Business Park on Leeds Road. It has moved from Dalesway House, Ilkley.

A 2,000 sq ft unit has been let to Earth Renewables.
