CONSTRUCTION workloads dipped in Yorkshire and Humber in the final quarter of 2014, but the private commercial sector saw the strongest growth.
This was despite the shortage of bricklayers reaching a record high, the RICS UK Construction Market Survey Q4 2014 found.
A total of 42 per cent more chartered surveyors in the region reported workloads in the construction sector had grown in the final quarter of last year. Meanwhile, 58 per cent more respondents said the private commercial sector was fuelling the greatest growth.
