AN MP has blasted claims the EU will stop free trading with the UK if it leaves. Philip Davies (Con, Shipley) said claims by Business Secretary Vince Cable that free trade would stop were ridiculous and unfounded.
Speaking in the Commons, Mr Davies said: “Given that we have a huge trade deficit with the European Union, can the Secretary of State tell us why if we were to leave the EU they would stop free trade with us.”
Mr Cable said most MPs fully supported membership but wanted reform.
