Rise in sales at Waitrose
SUPERMARKET chain Waitrose, which has a store in Otley, saw sales lift by 6.5 per cent in the two weeks to December 27.
During this period the grocer said champagne sales jumped by 14 per cent compared with a year ago, turkey was up 10.9 per cent and frozen lobster sales jumped 51 per cent .
