RECRUITER Driver Hire is enjoying a seasonal boom providing temporary staff.
The Bradford-based transport and logistics specialist is breaking trading records with weekly turnover reaching £2.1 million at the end of November, rising to £2.2 million for the first week of this month – 22 per cent ahead of the corresponding week of 2013.
In Australia, where Driver Hire has bases in Perth and Brisbane, it also had record weekly levels in November.
Chris Chidley, chief executive, said: “Whilst our current run of excellent trading is partly down to seasonal factors, there’s a definite flight to quality as we’re also gaining market share from our rivals.”
Driver Hire’s UK network of offices grew turnover by 19 per cent over the past year, bucking the trend revealed in the Recruitment & Employment Confederation annual report.
