KEIGHLEY brewery Timothy Taylor has received a certificate marking a parliamentary appearance by its award-winning Boltmaker bitter.
The popular tipple featured as a guest ale in Strangers’ Bar at the House of Commons.
Now Keighley MP Kris Hopkins, the community pubs minister, has handed over an acknowledgement on behalf of the all-party parliamentary beer group in a short ceremony at Westminster.
He made the presentation to retiring Timothy Taylor managing director, Charles Dent, and paid tribute to the brewery stalwart.
“I was immensely proud to see parliamentary colleagues from across the party divide and their guests supping Boltmaker – the 2014 Champion Beer of Britain – on the banks of the Thames when it was available on tap,” said Mr Hopkins.
“I was even more thrilled to be invited to hand over the certificate to Charles, who is retiring after 20 years as managing director to take on the role of chairman,” he said.
