SKIPTON Building Society has been named the best in the country at an awards ceremony.

The company, who have a branch in Market Street, Bradford, won the Best National Building Society award from Your Mortgage.

The accolade was revealed at the 25th anniversary ceremony of Your Mortgage Awards.

It is the latest prize for Skipton, who won What Mortgage’s Best Building Society award in 2011 and 2012.

The Your Mortgage Awards celebrates the achievements of top mortgage lenders in the market.

The awards pay tribute to those lenders that have offered the best products and services to borrowers in their respective categories.

David Cutter, Skipton’s Group chief executive, said: “We’re delighted that Your Mortgage has named Skipton as Best National Building Society.

“It’s a great honour to win this award.

This latest prize comes just days after Skipton was named the UK’s Best Children’s/Junior Savings Provider in the Personal Finance Awards.
