ILKLEY-based remote teaching specialist Virtual College has clocked up 1.5 million online learners with around 1,000 new learners registering every day.
It was formed 19 years ago to pioneer online learning.
Rod Knox, co-founder, said: “Growth in the use of our online learning solutions has increased exponentially.
It’s only 15 months since we achieved the million online learner mark.
“We now provide online learning content and training to almost every sector in the UK – from healthcare to manufacturing, education and catering.”
The company is launching interactive online careers advice and resources for young people, providing free impartial information on vocational, education and training options to schools.
With 120 UK-based staff, its online course directory includes over 300 subjects.
