A Bradford-based social enterprise providing a financial lifeline to businesses has been nominated for a national award for its impact on the community.
The Business Enterprise Fund has been shortlisted in the Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards in the impact category.
Fund director Stephen Waud said the shortlisting topped off a successful year for BEF after an expansion, recruitment drive and a further £10 million of investment. He said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted at the inaugural UK Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards who recognise the excellent work of community development finance institutions in changing lives and communities.”
