A Yeadon windows company is providing a £100,000 cafe conservatory as part of a scheme to rejuvenate amenities at the cafe in Golden Acre Park at Bramhope.
Franklin Windows reached a sponsorship agreement with Leeds City Council whose parks and countryside department is undertaking refurbishment of the Bakery Cafe.
The conservatory will offer seating on the upper patio level of the cafe for 40 extra people. A toilet extension with facilities for the disabled and baby changing space will also be added.
Josh Franklin, owner and managing director of Franklin Windows, whose late grandfather Clifford is commemorated with a bench in the park, said: “We are thrilled the project has now officially started.”
