Bank raises £40m to meet funding
Challenger bank Aldermore, which has a regional office in Cleckheaton, has raised another £40 million to meet strong demand for funding from small businesses.
Aldermore now has more than 100,000 retail customers, with deposits exceeding £3.3 billion and lending to SMEs and homeowners has reached £3.4 billion.
The bank recording a record profit of £9.2 million in the first half 2013 and expects to post higher returns for the year end.
