Independent interior design company The Secret Drawer has opened a studio and store on Brook Street in Ilkley.
The new store has been launched as a creative hub housing the firm’s interior design team offering a bespoke service. The Secret Drawer also has a workshop in Skipton and a showroom in Cononley and employs 21 people.
The new design studio and store draws on the expertise of the firm’s furniture designers and craftsmen who use traditional techniques to make handmade furniture for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and other rooms.
Featuring wallpapers, fabrics, upholstery, lighting and a paint library, the new space showcases the latest products from global interior brands.
Award-winning cabinetmaker Richard Mason, who launched the business in 1998, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to launch our new design studio and store in Ilkley. Our vision is to bring the names you will find at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre to the heart of Yorkshire and to sit these next to our own bespoke handcrafted furniture.
“We want to be a beacon for good design, but also for heritage.
“Every piece of furniture is handmade from our workshop using traditional techniques.”
