Hopes for new jobs have been raised following the letting of a landmark property in Drighlington to Ilkley-based building services group NG Bailey.
The 40,000 sq ft building on a 1.7 acre site in Fieldhead Lane, close to the M62 motorway has been let by chartered surveyors Eddisons on a five-year lease for long-standing client Wharfedale Finance.
Shazad Mahmood, of Eddisons in Bradford, said: “We are delighted to have concluded this deal with such a prestigious and well-known tenant which it is hoped will lead to the creation of a number of new jobs.”
The property includes industrial and warehouse space as well as offices and was previously occupied by InterCity Services.
NG Bailey’s engineering division has been awarded a £2.4 million contract to design, supply and install mechanical and electrical services for the first phase of the Freeman’s Reach office and leisure development in Durham.
Mike Darlington, managing director of NG Bailey’s engineering division, said: “We are excited to be involved in one of the most carbon-friendly city centre developments anywhere in the UK.”
