Bradford-based motors group JCT600 sponsored an annual historic vehicle event which marked its 25th anniversary and raised £2,000 for Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale which is also marking its silver jubilee.
It was the 13th consecutive year that family-owned JCT600 backed the Bradford to Morecambe Historic Vehicle Run organised by founder Gerry Watson and which this year attracted more than 140 classic cars of all types and ages on the 130-mile round trip.
The event, which began as a cycle race in the 1950s, has developed into a two- day extravaganza for classic car enthusiasts, attracting thousands of visitors to the seaside town.
Every year, members of the local Porsche Owners Club take part, showing a range of cars.
The event has raised £8,000 for Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale in the last three years and JCT600 chairman Jack Tordoff has been a patron of the charity for more than seven years.
Linda Enderby, the charity’s community fundraiser, said: “The support we receive from Jack and Gerry is valued and very much appreciated.
“Their help and that of the local community, has enabled us to support tens of thousands of people over the past 25 years. Hopefully, our relationship with JCT600 and all of our supporters will continue.”
