Bradford business school student Heather McGregor, now a head hunter, columnist and TV presenter, passed on tips from her latest book to West Yorkshire businesswomen.
Heather, an agricultural marketing graduate who carried out her research at the University of Bradford School of Management in the mid 1980s, writes the Mrs Moneypenny column in the Financial Times magazine.
She was the speaker at a lunch for a women’s networking group run by accountants Grant Thornton, where she discussed issues raised in her latest book, Mrs Moneypenny's Careers Advice for Ambitious Women.
Joanne Powell, Grant Thornton associate director in Yorkshire, who set up the networking group, said: “Heather strongly believes that many women lack self-confidence and it is this that is holding them back in their careers.”
