A Midlands-based logistics business has chosen Bradford for its first regional base, creating three jobs in the process.
Pinnacle International Freight has also become the latest business to take space in City Hub in Little Germany, a former wool warehouse now housing a range of enterprises – and sees it as a base for expansion.
Leicester firm Pinnacle has taken 773 sq ft offices at City Hub in Peckover Street, with a three-year rates-free deal as part of Bradford’s city centre growth zone initiative. The business, which trades globally, also has access to warehouse facilities.
The new Bradford office is the first regional base for Pinnacle, which was founded in 1972 and has 45 staff in Leicester and a £20 million turnover. The business has experience with the Far East, US and Indian sub-continent and specialises in importing ceramic tiles from Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Rick Holloway, the company’s international freight office manager, said “Our newly-recruited staff are specialists in their field and are all local people. City Hub has all the facilities we need and the central location gives us easy access to the motorway network. We are also keen to be part of the regeneration of Little Germany and with its historic international links with the textile industry.”
He hopes to double the staff by the end of the year.
Pinnacle International Freight is the 11th business to move into City Hub where other tenants include accountants Armstrong Watson, insolvency practice, Walsh Taylor, brand management specialist, The One Company and PR marketing and design business, Bulletpoint.
City Hub was created from a £2m refurbishment of a building by the Business Enterprise Fund, part of Bradford Chamber of Commerce and Chamber International.
Andrew Robertson, Bradford Chamber of Commerce property director, who manages City Hub, said City Hub provided a much-needed quality home and focus for professional services businesses.
