A leading Bradford-based compressed air specialist has clinched several key contracts against strong competition.
Thorite, the UK’s biggest independent distributor of pneumatic products and process systems, won a major contract to install a complete compressed air pipework system at a new engineering centre in Staffordshire being built for Norgen, an international leader in the design and manufacture of pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies.
Laisterdyke-based Thorite will install various pipework ring mains carrying compressed air to every part of Norgen’s new 104,000 sq ft Engineering Advantage Centre near Lichfield.
The three-month contract, awarded by main contractor Clegg Construction Ltd, was won in a highly-competitive tender process.
Thorite also overcame competition from more than a dozen suppliers to gain a major deal to supply pneumatic and process products to AMETEK Land, the world leader in design and application of infrared temperature measurement equipment for industry.
The Bradford firm has also advised on and supplied pneumatic equipment to the UK’s largest vehicle dismantling specialist, Doncaster-based Motorhog for its new de-pollution facility, designed to remove oils and fuel from cars before dismantling.
