An engineering firm which had taken on 14 new staff, including apprentices, since August is on the lookout for more design engineers.

Koso Kent Introl is expanding to cope with demand for its valves made at its Brighouse base. The company wants to boost its technical design team.

Sales director David Limb said: “Our latest recruitment push has been driven by increased orders, requiring a range of new people and skills across the business, from apprentices and students to engineers and buyers.

“Our ethos is to nurture, train and develop each individual to become the very best in their field.”

The company manufactures and exports control valves, high-technology surface choke valves and high-performance rotary valves to the oil and gas, petrochemical and power industries worldwide. In the last two years, KKI has opened an 18,000 sq ft factory and a hi-tech £2 million machining centre in Brighouse, where it has been based for more than 40 years.
