West Bowling secured a hard-earned victory over high-flying Bolton Woods at Canal Road to move within three points of their hosts in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division.
Chris Hannah put them in front with a header from a corner kick in the 20th minute. Play swung from end to end for the rest of the first half before Chris Woods put the visitors into a two-goal lead with a well-taken goal on the hour.
Despite pressure from Woods, they were denied a goal until ten minutes from time when Derek Rouse hit the net but Bowling held on for a 2-1 win.
League leaders Silsden entertained Oakenshaw when neither side could find the net in the first half. It was a different story in the second half as goals from Adam Whiteoak, Chris Simpson and Jamie Longley put the hosts clear, Mick Burke pulling one bck for the visitors.
Pudsey hit four goals in the first 20 minutes against Whetley Lane in an 8-1 rout. Danny King (4) and Richard Marshall (3) were on target for the hosts and Michael Wadsworth also found the score sheet.
Second-placed Albion Sports kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a 4-1 victory at Chellow.
Queensbury's Mick Naylor hit one of the best goals seen in the league for a long time against Bradford Park Avenue.
He controlled the ball with his chest 30 yards from goal and volleyed the ball into the top corner of the net.
Naylor added a second goal later in the match and Gavin Murgatroyd and Lee Ashworth also struck for the visitors. Stuart Gamble and Andrew Wilson replied for the hosts, who went down 4-2.
There were goals galore in Division One, especially at leaders Eccleshill United, who hit nine against Wibsey WMC. Ben Hardy hit a hat-trick for the hosts while Andy Philps and Ryan Capitino weighed in with a brace in a 9-3 demolition.
Westwood Park hit a hard-working Crown Wyke with three early goals from Mathew Hannan and a brace from Carl Storey. Hannan completed his hat-trick in the second half and Mark Price also scored in the hosts' 6-1 victory.
Basement club Eccleshill turned round at half-time with only a one-goal deficit against Dudley Hill Rangers, Jamie McEwan on target.
But in the second half, Rangers ran riot and added five more goals. McEwan hit another three, with Sam Morton and Chris Cooney also scoring for the visitors.
Ventus Sports leapfrogged their hosts Ring o' Bells with a 5-1 victory, while Buttershaw White Star warmed up for their forthcoming FA Sunday Cup match with a 2-1 victory over third-placed Eastward at Harold Park.
They took the lead on 20 minutes through Andy Butterworth and added to the tally in the 75th minute with a well-taken goal from Dean Fearnley after an excellent move from the hosts. Barry Morley junior hit a consolation goal for the visitors with six minutes to go.
The victory was Buttershaw's tenth consecutive win in all competitions and put them ahead of Eastward.
George Hotel moved clear at the top of Division 1A with a 5-3 victory over Oddfellows Athletic.
Matt Dacey hit a brace for the hosts and Ghurdip Bhambra, Mick Loxam and Warren Ingle also found the target.
Nearest challengers White Horse came away from Baildon Trinity with a 2-2 draw but needed an equaliser ten minutes from time through Jamie Hepworth. Lee Taylor also scored for the visitors in the first half.
Chris Hawker hit a first-half hat-trick for Wrose Bull in their 5-1 victory over Hudsons. Hawker scored again in the second half and Danny Kitcher-man also found the net.
Tyersal still lead Division 1B after an emphatic win at Ventus United. Graham Sides hit five goals for the leaders and Jamie Shields hit a brace in a 7-2 romp.
Hot on their heels are Craven Heifer, who raced to a 4-0 success at Queensbridge United thanks to goals from Alan Elsworth, Glen Pearson, Sean Barker and Richard Crawshaw.
Albion Sports Reserves kept in touch with the leaders with a 4-0 victory over Saltaire Rangers. Top scorers in the division were Relay Recruitment, who thrashed Dudley Hill Rangers Reserves 9-0 away from home.
